Wizards-Hawks Game 4 Pregame: Last Time Took An L But Tonight They Bounce Back

Eastern Conference Playoffs Round 1, Game 4 Wizards lead 2-1

Wizards at Hawks

April 22, 2017 at 8:00 PM Philips Arena | Atlanta, GA TV: CSN Mid-Atlantic Radio: 1500 AM

What to watch:

John Wall.

Wall is playing like a damn menace right now, and nothing is going to stop him, and that includes Schroder attempting to pick him up full court:
Wall is leading all players in assists during the playoffs with 10 per game. He is also up there in scoring, with 30 a night. There is not a single player on that Hawks team who can keep up with Wall. The ferocity and relentless dedication he plays with will go unmatched for as long as the Wizards are in the playoffs.
Wall is out here to prove something, that was his mission all year and he is persevering in the playoffs, and that he demands respect for both himself as a player, and his Wizards as a team.

Key Matchup:

Chief Keef vs. Paul Millsap

Coming as a surprise to nobody, Keef and Paul Millsap are tonight’s key matchup, again. Millsap has gone at the Wizards from the beginning, saying they play MMA and not basketball after game one.

After Game 3, Keef voiced his opinions on the Hawks forward, saying “You get all the calls when you a cry baby.”

Millsap clearly didn’t appreciate this and told Keef he can “Take his loss and go back to the hotel.”

These two have been going at it the whole series and nothing will change tonight.

It has become clear that if you stop Millsap, you stop the Hawks. Media BS aside, this is an exciting matchup to watch. Millsap is an All-Star and there is no doubt about it. But Keef can counter him in two ways: First, he can do what he did in game one and outscore him, or he can go out and do what he does best, grit and grind. Keef’s “nobody can stop me” attitude makes him a ferocious defender that can take Millsap out of the game.

X-Factor:

PLAYOFF BEAL?
Can this be a bounce back game for Bradley Beal? Coming off a 12-point performance in Game 3, this is a big game for Brad. After Game 2, Brad said “My flow is good, but my shot sucks” in reference to his shooting effort in the first round. There is no doubt Brad is one of the elite shooters in this league, and a national television game is the perfect place for him to “bounce back” and see some shots fall.

Fun Factor:

The Wizards have wanted respect from the National audience all year. A prime time game on TNT is their opportunity to prove they can show out in the playoffs as well.

Prediction:

There is no way the Wizards drop two in a row. Keef has a solid defensive game, and the Wizards win by 10.
