Wizards (46-28) at Clippers (44-31)
March 29, 2017 at 10:30PM Staples Center | Los Angeles, CA TV: CSN Mid-Atlantic Radio: 1500 AM
Last time they met was..
December 18, 2016 - Verizon Center, DC: Wizards 117, Clippers 110
What to watch:
John Wall and Bradley Beal.
Because who does not want to watch them? This is the best back court in the League. Hands down, no argument. Both players are having career years and are dissecting defenses with ease. Playing a Hall of Fame point guard like Chris Paul is opportunity like no other to both prove yourself (Like Wall even has to anymore lol) and learn a lot from his game.
Key Matchup:
Wizards bigs vs. Clippers bigs.
Even though we have two of the best back courts in the league on the court tonight the game will undoubtedly be decided by the front court. Gortat and Keef, better known as the “Phoenix Outlaws”, will play a huge roll in the game tonight. The Clippers have an All-Star front court in Deandre Jordan and Blake Griffen. It is imperative that Gortat try to keep Jordan’s rebounds down. He will obviously get his, but if the Polish Hammer can keep him off the offensive board only good things will come from it. Keef has a bit of a tougher mach-up. Blake Griffen has been on and off with injuries and is out here trying to reestablish himself has the best power forward in the game. An offensive menace, Keef has his hands full. Slowing him down will be key.
X-Factor:
Stop JJ Reddick!
The former Duke star has made a name for himself in this league by starting games off hot. It is no secret that Doc Rivers like to jump start his offense. Reddick will run the baseline tirelessly, coming off screens, curling and cutting until he gets a shot. If Bradley Beal can come out strong defensively, the Clippers may struggle in the first.
