Caron Butler joined Kevin Garnett's KGArea21 last night and among the numerous topics they discussed was his time in D.C.
The mere mention of the 'D.C. Big 3' or the names Antonio Daniels, DeSean Stevenson or Brendan Haywood is sure to bring back a lot of mixed emotions for most Wizards fans. I prefer to remember the good, and omit the time period between Gil's injury at the hands of Gerald Wallace and the draft of John Wall.
I digress.
Pre-#GunGate was a time of hope, playoff appearances, national TV games, and one of the most exciting players in the game for about a two year stretch. At their peak, Butler and Jamison also played huge roles in the Wizards success and the five minute piece below highlights the good.
As far as I'm concerned, Butler will go down as one of my favorite players on and off the court and you'd be hard pressed to find a Wizards fan who wouldn't hold him in the same regard he holds D.C.
Nothing but love for 'Tuff Juice' at Hoop District.
